07/30/26 – Sustainable Agriculture Intern – Aeroponics & Raised Bed Production

  • Location: Georgetown, TN area (37336)
  • Start Date: Spring 2027
  • Position Type: Part-Time / Seasonal (Flexible scheduling around class hours)
  • Position Overview:
    • Join an innovative, local produce operation specializing in both cutting-edge Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) and high-yield outdoor production. This internship offers a unique, dual-discipline experience. You will work directly with commercial aeroponic growing systems as well as intensive raised-bed cultivation.
  • What You Will Learn & Do:
    • Aeroponic System Operations: Manage specialized water delivery cycles, monitor and balance pH/EC nutrient solutions, and maintain system cleanliness for optimal root health.
    • Crop Production: Handle crop cycles from seed to harvest, focusing on leafy greens, herbs, or specialty crops.
    • Raised Bed Management: Implement seasonal soil management, integrated pest management (IPM), and crop rotation strategies in intensive outdoor raised beds.
    • Data & Environment Tracking: Assist in logging greenhouse climate data, photoperiod schedules, and system metrics to optimize crop yields.
  • Qualifications:
    • Currently enrolled in a Horticulture, Agriculture, STEM, or related technical program.
    • Strong attention to detail, especially regarding sanitation and system parameters.
    • Ability to work both independently in a clean greenhouse environment and outdoors in raised beds.
    • Reliable transportation to the Georgetown area.
