The Tennessee Green Industry Field Day is hosted by the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture and the Tennessee Nursery and Landscape Association. This field day offers members of the green industry a special opportunity to hear firsthand from UT experts who are researching practical solutions to the industry’s latest challenges. Participants will enjoy a variety of sessions that will take place beginning at the UT Gardens Friendship Pavilion and ending in the Agriculture and Natural Resources Building on the campus of the UT Institute of Agriculture. Check-in will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m at the Friendship Pavilion. EDT. The program will begin at 8:20 a.m. Sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m. with each session lasting about one hour. This field day will conclude at 4:30 p.m.

- Hands-on demonstrations
- Classroom-style demonstrations on production, weed, insect and disease management, automation, labor and economics, and other topics, including the “State of the Industry Update”
- Information to help you continue to grow your nursery, landscape, or garden center business
- 2026: Applicator continuing education pesticide points are approved and will include:
- Private Applicator (PA), 3 points
- Agricultural Pest Control (C01), 6 points
- Forest Pest Control (C02), 6 points
- Ornamental and Turf Pest Control (C03), 6 points
- Right-of-Way Pest Control (C06), 6 points
- Limited Herbicide Applicator (C09), 6 points
- Demonstration, Research, and Regulatory Pest Control (C10), 6 points
- Pesticide Dealer (C12), 6 points

- Pre-registration is required, limited to commercial operators, and is accessible through the TNLA website
- Morning sessions are held outdoors on the UTIA campus
- Afternoon sessions are held at the Agriculture & Natural Resources Building Auditorium at 2431 Joe Johnson Dr., Knoxville, TN
